Positives:

  • Family-Friendly Facilities: Free parking, showers, toilets and lifeguards ensure comfort and safety for kids.
  • Natural Shade: Palm trees and wildflowers along the shore offer relief from direct sun.

Challenges:

  • Intense Summer Sun: Limited natural shade makes renting an umbrella essential to protect young skin.
  • Limited Baby Facilities: No dedicated nursing rooms or changing tables; plan to use public restrooms or beach-bar facilities.

No sunbeds were free and we would have had to put our names on a waiting list and most likely we would have had to wait for at least an hour. The beach itself is nice but I highly recommend bringing your own umbrella.

Very nice and semi wild beach. Slow entrance into the sea. No steps or something. Ideal for small kids. You can walk 50m from the shoreline and the water is knee deep

Overall a good beach close to heraklion airport. It has a bar, 6€ for 2 sunbeds, prices for drinks are decent. If the weather is not great you can walk and see the planes landing

Nice and clean beach, not to busy. It is a free of entry beach. Enough space, and a few nice and kind of different beach clubs. Chears and umbrellas not expensive, from so 4 euro. Perfect for plane spotting and taking pictures of landing planes.
