The aquarium offers audio guides, VR upgrades and quiet exhibits that suit independent pacing, although the 1–2-hour route may feel too short for a solo day out seeking longer engagement.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time to explore all tanks and interactive areas at a relaxed solo pace.
Explore Main Aquarium:
Walk through 61 tanks showcasing over 200 Mediterranean species, including sharks and turtles.
Tip: Start at opening to see feeding time at the shark tank with fewer visitors.
Use the Audio Guide:
Rent a multilingual headset for in-depth commentary on each exhibit.
Tip: Pick up the guide at entry to avoid queues and follow the numbered route.
Virtual Reality Dive:
Experience a 360° underwater dive with whales and jellyfish in the VR hall.
Tip: Book your €5 slot online or on arrival to secure a prime time.
Interact at Touch Pools:
Gently handle starfish, urchins and small crabs under staff supervision.
Tip: Visit early when staff can give you more one-on-one guidance.
In summer, arrive at opening to beat heat and crowds. In winter, check shorter hours and quieter afternoons.

You should visit this with or without kids since it is highly maintained and interesting to visit. Exhibits are divided by tanks and each one has separate species inside. You can pick and read from the monitors nearby or even watch on your phone for ease of access. I definitely recommend bying tickets in advance because the wait can be huge.

Thank you! It was beautiful there! I went in the morning and there were less people, around 12 there are more! The jellyfish and sharks are the best part. The women in the gift shop were very friendly too! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🐟🐟🐟

A nice aquarium. Plenty to see and enjoy on a hot day. Get there early to beat the coach groups. We spent about 90 minutes there. There is a restaurant on site and of course a shop. We didn't use either.

Spectacular, just check out the pictures. We decided to spend the time before our flight here and it was a great decision. So many animals to see, for a great price. In total we spent about 90 minutes here and another half hour outside at the terrace under the trees.
