What makes it 79% Solo-Friendly: The grove offers free walking and jogging trails, a café for breaks and occasional cultural events, so a solo visitor enjoys flexible quiet time; poor lighting after dusk slightly reduces safety.
Why 1–2 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Enough time to walk trails, spot geocaches and relax at the café without rushing.
Trail Walking or Running:
Follow flat and hilly paths through Mediterranean pines and shrubs.
Tip: Start early or late in summer to avoid midday heat and bring a water bottle.
Geocaching Adventure:
Search for a public geocache near the old powder-mill ruins.
Tip: Install a free geocaching app in advance and download coordinates before you arrive.
Coffee and Reading at the Café:
Sit on the shaded patio with a freddo espresso or iced tea.
Tip: Visit mid-morning for quieter tables and bring a book or journal.
Book Exhibition (Annual):
Browse the municipal book fair held each year in the grove.
Tip: Check the Egaleo Municipality website for dates and free author talks.
Photography and Sketching:
Capture pine trunks, wildflowers and historic factory structures.
Tip: Walk the quieter east side of the park for unobstructed views and soft light.

It's a pretty nice park but I really wish it was better maintained.

Very nice park to have a stroll with kids and or pets. Nice for cycling through and around the park. Contains a couple of nice cafeterias, a roller blade track and various sport sites like basketball, soccer, track and field and tennis court.

Nice park, just during winter the lights go on around 21h. So you have one hour of pitch dark that makes things a bit harder. Besides that is a great park to go for a run, walk the dog, chill a bit. Also they are doing some improving still, so I guess it will get even better soon
In spring look for wildflowers along the trails. In summer go early or late. In autumn enjoy mild temperatures and fewer visitors.
