An absolute must do if you’re visiting Lyon. For my fellow Americans this is equivalent to Central Park in New York. I’ve never been to such a well maintained and beautiful park before in my life. There’s a rose garden, a free zoo, volleyball court, botanical garden, mini lake for boating and of course plenty of places for a lovely picnic

This “Porte” houses one of the nicest carrousels I have seen given it is themed with jungle animals (which I beleive was linked to the zoo next door). My daughter rode on tigers 🐅 monkeys 🐒 ostriches and in a safari car 🛻. Worth checking it out.
In spring, blooming magnolias add color along the lake. In summer, jog at dawn to beat the heat. In autumn, the changing leaves create a scenic backdrop. In winter, dress warmly for the open lakeside views.
