What makes it 62% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly flat paths and many benches aid feedings, but no listed diaper tables or nursing room, so carers need their own kit and may queue at public restrooms.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a gentle stroller walk, rest stops and a picnic without rushing.
Stroller-friendly greenhouse walk:
Follow flat paths from the main gate through the rose garden and into the tropical and orchid greenhouses.
Tip: Cover stroller with a lightweight sunshade before entering greenhouses to shield your baby from bright light and warmth.
Picnic under shaded trees:
Use the picnic tables near the entrance and benches along the lawns for a quiet family meal.
Tip: Bring finger foods and pre-filled bottles. Choose a spot under large trees to keep your baby cool.
Refill water and formula stations:
Locate drinking fountains near the rose garden and greenhouses to fill bottles or mix formula.
Tip: Carry a clean flask and formula powder. Plan quick stops at fountains rather than long walks back.

Free of charge. Nice botanical and rose garden inside the park. Interesting plants from different places in the world.

It's simply unbelievable that such a gorgeous botanical garden is open to the public completely free of charge. The park and the greenhouses contain innumerable plants from all over the world. In the middle of the city but away from the rush and noise you can easily spend some hours here, walking through the colourful flowers or sit in the shadow of old trees and just relax.

A wonderful way to enjoy a sunny day. The zoo was the standout surprise, especially the giraffes! We also learned about a new animal, Tapir from Malaysia. There was also a piano in a gazebo with someone playing sweet music.

We visited here as part of the Segway Tour. The history of the building was amazing. The plants inside were nice, but not a lot was blooming. It is not large, but it is free, so it is worth a stop when you are walking through the park.
In summer, visit before 11:00 to avoid midday heat in the greenhouses. In spring (May), enjoy the rose garden in full bloom. In autumn, stroll the arboretum to see fall colors.
