It's simply unbelievable that such a gorgeous botanical garden is open to the public completely free of charge. The park and the greenhouses contain innumerable plants from all over the world. In the middle of the city but away from the rush and noise you can easily spend some hours here, walking through the colourful flowers or sit in the shadow of old trees and just relax.

A wonderful way to enjoy a sunny day. The zoo was the standout surprise, especially the giraffes! We also learned about a new animal, Tapir from Malaysia. There was also a piano in a gazebo with someone playing sweet music.

We visited here as part of the Segway Tour. The history of the building was amazing. The plants inside were nice, but not a lot was blooming. It is not large, but it is free, so it is worth a stop when you are walking through the park.
Spring brings peak bloom in the rose and peony beds. In winter, greenhouses offer a warm tropical escape.
