What makes it 88% Couple-Friendly: The panoramic terrace, sunset light, and engraved steel chairs create a romantic backdrop, and picnics are allowed, making it ideal for couples; limited facilities matter little on a short, adult-only visit.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: This gives you time to picnic on the terrace, pose at the six chairs, and enjoy the hilltop view without rushing.
Romantic sunset picnic:
Spread a blanket on the red-terrace overlook and watch the sun dip behind Lyon.
Tip: Bring a light picnic and arrive 30 minutes before sunset for the best spot.
Photo session on sculpted chairs:
Pose on Michel Goulet’s six steel-embedded chairs for unique city-view shots.
Tip: Read the engraved quotes to add a poetic caption to your photos.
Funicular & guided hill walk:
Take the funicular to Saint-Just and walk up to learn local history.
Tip: Book a Lyon Tourist Office tour in advance to secure a guide.

It took time to reach the place but the view it's incredible.

A lovely, quiet park overlooking Lyon. It's small, but a great place to relax. But I couldn't find any grocery stores or coffee shops nearby to grab refreshments.

Little peaceful corner that can be reached with an uphill walk from Presqu'ile after crossing the Kitchener Marchand bridge. This garden was donated by the city of Montreal to mark the 20th anniversary of the cooperation relations with Lyon. Probably one of the best panoramic views on the city.

Nice view but not like amazing, dogs not allowed which kinda sucks

Very beautiful place. The ideal location to take outstanding pictures and have a picnic. You can arrive very easily by bus and it’s a great option if you want to explore Lyon a little bit.
Open until 10 p.m. in May–September—ideal for summer evenings. In spring, wildflowers frame the views. In winter, bundle up; the view is crisp but cold winds are strong.
