Terrible stay. I am a member of the Accor group, which Mercure belongs to, and have always enjoyed their hotels. Regretfully though, this time I was extremely disappointed. The usual hotel International standards are not met at all at the Hongqiao. Most of the staff does not speak english (incredible: at the reception they hide hoping I do not approach them..) and are making little efforts to help...
