What makes it 76% Couple-Friendly: Couples can stroll shaded trails, watch pandas and share snacks for under ¥60, but the zoo is busy and lacks particularly romantic settings, so it ranks below West Lake for date ambience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Gives time to visit main exhibits, join a science talk, and relax at the café.
Leisurely Exhibit Tour:
Stroll shaded forest paths through Panda, Elephant, Giraffe and Bird halls.
Tip: Start at Panda Pavilion then follow clockwise route to avoid backtracking.
Panda Pavilion Photography:

Tip: Arrive early for the best light and fewer reflections on the glass.
Pop-up Events & Weekend Classes:
Attend free science talks, animal-care demos and Natural Classroom sessions.
Tip: Scan the zoo’s official WeChat on arrival to reserve seats for popular sessions.
Volunteer Visitor Experience:
Join the “爱我NO喂” team to guide guests, learn welfare practices and earn free entry.
Tip: Apply online two weeks before your visit; spots fill quickly each month.

This destination is truly phenomenal and an awesome place to visit, renowned not only among locals in China but also attracting visitors from other provinces and foreign tourists. It boasts a diverse array of animals, including elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, zebras, and monkeys, making it a must-see for wildlife enthusiasts. One of the highlights of the visit is the spectacular dolphin show...
Wandering in Paradise
Nice zoo with plenty of animals: pandas, lions, tigers, bears, panthers, leopards, cobras, sea turtles, and way more. Takes a good 3 hours to cover everywhere. There are lots of snacks and food for sale as well. Great place to bring children. Would recommend!

A lovely walk through some gorgeous enclosures however was v unhappy with the size and state of some of the enclosures. A clear disparity between the good and the bad. The red panda enclosure was amazing but most of the rest of them weren't. Upsetting to see.
Visit in spring or autumn for mild weather and blooming greenery. In summer bring sunscreen and an umbrella for sudden showers. In winter layer up—some outdoor paths are exposed.
