This park is so lovely! City staff do a great job with upkeep. There is lots of parking (including disabled spot and EV charging), picnic tables for small and large groups, lighting, playground, washrooms and water fountains, a paved walking path along the water with benches for sitting and taking in the view of wildlife or people on the water, and even a beach. Swimming not really recommend here ...

It has been a while since I have visited Gorge and I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it was it is. Many different areas to chose from to have a picnic, walk the dog, open fields to play games, walk along the water and many more options to choose from. Great for kids and it is well maintained enhancing the scenery.

April hosts Sculpture Splash sculptures indoors. Summer evenings (June–Sept) bring the Monday Farmers Market by the water. In September, the Lantern Festival lights up pathways after sunset. Off-season weekdays are very quiet.
