What makes it 79% Kids-Friendly: Children enjoy Ecology Centre exhibits, ranger stories and safe creek edges, yet parents must supervise closely on narrow stairs and the moving bridge, so the park is fun but demands vigilance with under-12s.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Covers bridge crossing, short hikes, wading pool and Ecology Centre without rushing younger children.
Cross the Suspension Bridge:
Walk the 50 m-high bridge with a gentle sway over Lynn Creek.
Tip: Hold kids’ hands and go slow to enjoy the view safely.
Twin Falls Loop Trail:
Follow a 20-minute boardwalk loop to waterfalls and a footbridge.
Tip: Bring sturdy shoes; the trail can be slippery near spray.
Wade at the 30-Foot Pool:
Cool off in the shallow edges of a clear pool under rocky walls.
Tip: Pack water shoes and watch kids closely around deeper spots.
Kid’s Exploratorium at Ecology Centre:
Explore hands-on forest displays, puppet shows, and short films.
Tip: Arrive by noon for story time on Fridays; small $5 family donation.
Picnic by Lynn Creek:
Use picnic tables or grassy knolls near the café building.
Tip: Bring packed snacks to save time; public washrooms are nearby.

I went to Capilano Suspension Bridge twice and this was always been on my list to visit since they’re close to each other— I definitely recommend Lynn Canyon more. No entrance fee, plenty of parking, trails are easy (very kid-friendly), and plenty of options depending on how long you want to hike. There are also plenty of picnic tables at the entrance as well porta potties. The washrooms at the ca...

This was a great spot to experience Vancouver’s natural beauty. The suspension bridge may be smaller than some of the other bridges, but the fact that it’s free more than makes up for it. The park is beautifully maintained, there was no wait time, and it wasn’t crowded at all. We spent about an hour walking the trails and could’ve easily stayed longer if we hadn’t been short on time.

Stunning. Breathtaking. The suspension bridge is very close to the parking lot so even with a sprained ankle it was no problem getting there. From there you can choose to go on multiple trails a lot of which are boarded and there are a lot of stairs. A short hike to twin bridge downstream and to the 30ft pools upstream. If you are looking for a quiet retreat in nature I suggest going early morning...

A wonderful place for an incredible forest walk and enjoying nature. Many forest paths of varying difficulty. Stairs, suspension bridges, recreation areas. Mountain river and small waterfalls. If you wish, you can walk a little along the mountain slopes, overcoming obstacles from boulders and forest roots.) You can also swim in beautiful small mountain reservoirs with spring water. I definitely re...
Summer offers guided nature walks and best swimming conditions. Spring brings higher waterfall flow but muddy trails. Winter can be icy; wear traction cleats and check trail closures.
