How Baby-Friendly is Queen's Park?

View Map

What makes it 63% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly paving, shade, and benches support a calm walk, yet no indoor nursing room and only seasonal change tables make diapering and feeding harder, lowering suitability for infants.

Positives:

  • Stroller-Friendly Paths: Paved loops throughout the park make stroller navigation smooth.
  • Public Washrooms: Two seasonal kiosks open May–Oct; some have baby change tables.

Challenges:

  • No Play Structures: Lacks playgrounds or pools; older kids may need nearby parks.
  • No Indoor Nursing Rooms: Park has no private nursing areas; consider nearby ROM or other venues.

Nice place to sit and relax and watch the people go about their day. Has a bunch of seats around the statue like it's king of s--t mountain, but it's nice. Kids skateboard there and you can watch them fail at the tricks over and over again.

Queen's Park in Toronto is a nice relief. Right in the middle, you'll find an impressive statue of King Edward VII on a horse, which gives the park a unique charm. It's a popular spot, especially with students and faculty from the nearby University of Toronto, so there's appears to always a lively, friendly atmosphere. The park is perfect for a leisurely walk, a picnic, or just sitting on a bench ...

I am no Lady Whistledown, albeit I art to leave a proper review on Queen’s Park through a Victorian lens. Dearest reader, if one were to seek a locale that epitomizes the pinnacle of genteel leisure and natural splendor, Queens Park would undoubtedly stand unrivaled. Nestled gracefully within our esteemed city, this park is a jewel of pastoral beauty, a veritable paradise where one might promenad...
