Must seen. Amazing historical site. Its an active military zone so you will need to go with a tour guide. Tours are available both in french and English for one hour. We took the English tour. The tour guy, Oliver, was funny and friendly. He guided us through several buildings, provided info and let us took loads of photos and videos. Highly recommended

Really nice place to visit. The staff are friendly and very informative. They explain everything clearly and are happy to answer questions. The guards were interesting to watch and made the visit more engaging. The museum has some recent military items too, not just old history, which was a nice surprise. Worth checking out if you are in Quebec City.

When is the best time to visit The Citadelle of Québec (Quebec City, Canada)?

Visit June–September for Music in Red ceremonies and mild weather. In October enjoy fall foliage but bring warm layers and avoid night tours with a baby.
