What makes it 92% Kids-Friendly: Supervised splash pool, sand beach, climbing blocks and soccer fields keep 5- to 12-year-olds busy; flat trails fit bikes, yet adults must watch children near unfenced river edge.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Short distances and play areas let families explore highlights without wearing out younger children.
Station de la Plage water play:
Kids can splash in the shallow infinity pool and mirror fountains beside the river.
Tip: Bring swimsuits and water shoes; expect lifeguard supervision from June to August.
Granite climbing holds at Station de la Voile:
Children can climb on granite boulders outfitted with easy holds near beach volleyball courts.
Tip: Carry chalk for grip and take turns so kids don’t crowd the holds.
Play and soccer fields at Station des Sports:
Use the multi-use grassy area and soccer fields for running games or family matches.
Tip: Pack a ball or rent one at Fastoche! to avoid extra gear.
Discovery Walk in the Woods:
Follow stroller-friendly trails in Tequenonday Woods to spot pines and learn about local history.
Tip: Start mid-morning to catch animals around the forest edges.
Picnic and BBQ at Station de la Voile:
Gather at covered picnic tables with charcoal grills under pavilion shelters.
Tip: Arrive early to claim a table; charcoal and grills are free, you provide food.

Promenade Samuel-De Champlain in Quebec City is a beautifully designed waterfront park that stretches along the St. Lawrence River. It offers stunning views, well-maintained walking and biking paths, and several recreational areas, making it a great spot for outdoor activities. The modern landscaping, public art installations, and green/white spaces provide a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for a relax...

We went here July 15 2023 It was recently opened. We loved it. The swimming pool was closed when we arrived at 8PM. The kids enjoyed their time playing in the sprinklers. They also have changing rooms where you can change as long with a restaurant. I love the effect as if you were basically in the saint Lawerence river. It is a beautiful spot.

the most beautiful and design-y park i’ve ever been to! such a pleasure to be able to run along the river and see cool architectures throughout. the pavilions are so artistically designed. one area of improvement, many sinks and water fountains are not functional. while i appreciate the LED lights around the sink handle, having running water should be a bigger priority.

Lovely, scenic space to stretch your legs and take in the views. Wish there had been a public toilet 🚻, but otherwise a great place to stop.

Beautiful long bike/walking path with art, fountains and a magnificent view of the St. Lawrence. I highly recommend a stroll along it. There was an observation deck with a fabulous view for a panoramic shot.
Summer: water features run daily 10–20h; bring swimsuits. Fall: crisp air and changing leaves crowd-free. Winter: trails stay open for walks but pools close; wear warm boots. Spring: trails may be muddy; consider waterproof shoes.
