What makes it 86% Kids-Friendly: Kids gain rally circuits, easy boardwalk, fauna spotting and winter snowshoe fun plus toilets; no staffed activities, playground or food stands means parents must supervise and bring supplies.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for two rally circuits, a marsh loop, wildlife spotting and a picnic without rushing young children.
Rallye Discovery Trails:
Follow green and orange markers to solve puzzles on two circuits.
Tip: Download and print the PDFs at home or pick up the leaflet at the pavilion before you start.
Marsh Boardwalk Loop:
Walk the wooden boardwalk around the marsh for a gentle family-friendly trail.
Tip: Use a stroller on the boardwalk section; switch to a baby carrier for uneven forest paths.
Wildlife Spotting:
Observe frogs, turtles and songbirds from benches and observation hides.
Tip: Bring child-size binoculars and a simple species guide to keep kids engaged.
Picnic at the Pavilion:
Enjoy snacks at sheltered tables overlooking the marsh.
Tip: Pack water bottles, bug spray and a blanket for extra comfort and warmth.

Fitra Haven
This place is so beautiful that I take my children there for hiking and they love to see diverse wild life especially in the spring. In the winter they love having the birds come eat from their own hands without much effort or patience. Come visit the site and bring a small 2$ or more with you to help maintain the site open to its visitors.

Amazing place for birdwatching and walking, so glad we found it.
In spring and summer, birds and wildflowers are most active—bring sunscreen and bug spray. Fall colours highlight the marsh grasses in vibrant orange and gold. In winter, snowshoe or ski the shorter loop; dress in layers and wear waterproof boots.
