What makes it 65% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly paths and free washrooms help parents, but outhouses lack diaper tables, no nursing room exists, and the uneven shoreline requires constant vigilance, so usefulness is moderate.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Gives enough time to stroll the path, enjoy a picnic, and grab a coffee without rushing.
Stroller-Friendly Path:
Walk the paved Capital Pathway through the park.
Tip: Start near Tunney’s Pasture parking to minimize stroller distance.
Diaper Changes on Site:
Use the universal-accessible washroom by the NCC Bistro.
Tip: Carry a portable changing pad for comfort and privacy.
Picnic on the Lawn:
Spread a blanket near the picnic tables or grass.
Tip: Pick a spot close to the washrooms for quick access.
Golden Hour Photos:
Capture family portraits by the balanced rock sculptures.
Tip: Visit about one hour before sunset for soft light.
Take-Out Snacks:
Grab coffee or snacks at the NCC Bistro patio.
Tip: Order ahead by phone to save time.

Nice area to wander around. The rock sculptures were really cool. On the day I was passing through, there was a big storm, and I saw rare asperitas clouds there!

Beautiful views of Gatineau and Ottawa downtown skyline. The water is shallow around the banks and clear, it was refreshing to dip on my feet and feel the coolness. Pretty busy trail with cyclists, hikers and joggers alike but the views makes it worthwhile.

One of the less touristy spots in Ottawa to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Definitely worth going here to see the beautiful sculptures. They are such beautiful works of art with lots of dedication put into it. I even got to see the sculptor himself, John Ceprano, work on it.

Very scenic place and nice for a walk or sitting there just to chill. There is a parking for your car nearby and a public washroom. In the summer there is a patio near the parking where you can have a meal or a drink. One of the hidden spots in ottawa
Visit May–October when the NCC Bistro is open and grass is green. In winter, check if the pathway is cleared of snow and bundle up baby in warm layers.
