We hiked to the top of Mount Royal and although it didn’t take that long, it’s a good workout to get to the top. Great views of downtown Montreal. There’s a snack bar, gift shop and bathrooms at the top. We also visited the Mount Royal Cross.

first time visiting Montreal & this is an amazing park / trail to visit. There are a lot of runners / cyclists / walkers / etc. on the trail so use caution when walking along the paths. Roads are paved with gravel & dirt so wear comfortable shoes !

It was a bad winter time we went there. The hike to the top of the mount was really tough but the view is marvellous. Best time to visit is anytime but storm time :-P. There is a cute shop at the top where we can use the washroom or have a snack and coffee.

Visited Mount Royal and loved it. We went up to the viewpoint to see the city, amazing views. Also walked around Beaver Lake, really peaceful spot. Great place to relax and take in Montreal.

A beautiful urban mountain climb, rich foliage, easy smooth roads and pathways. There are some side paths with a bit more extreme hiking but mostly it’s a nice easy ride up the mountain for a family adventure, a bike ride, or a morning jog. The Pavilion and plaza at the top are graced with an excellent view of the city
From May to September, catch the Tam-Tams drum circle on Sunday afternoons near the George-Étienne Cartier monument. In winter, bring skates or rent a tube to slide and skate on Beaver Lake.
