What makes it 81% Solo-Friendly: A solo visitor can jog, ski, skate or read quietly; paths are safe, free, open long hours, and benches abound, yet evenings may feel crowded so solitude is not guaranteed.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Solo adults can explore trails, play tennis or piano, and relax at their own pace without rushing.
Quiet reading by the fountain:
Read or meditate on a bench near the Art Deco drinking fountain.
Tip: Arrive early to find a shady spot before the park gets busy.
Solo tennis practice:
Use the free outdoor courts along Avenue de l’Esplanade.
Tip: Bring your own racket and balls. Play weekdays before 9 am to avoid waits.
Public piano jam:
Play or listen at the summer public piano from mid-June to late August.
Tip: Check hours posted near the welcome centre and bring sheet music.
Cross-country ski loop:
Follow the 3 km groomed ski trail through the park in winter.
Tip: Start at the welcome centre. Wax your skis in advance for smoother glide.
Ice skating on natural rinks:
Glide solo on the park’s outdoor skating rinks during winter.
Tip: Use the heated trailer to change. Arrive midday for freshly flooded ice.

Great and very popular park for a picnic and sports like baseball, volleyball, soccer and football. It has excellent playgrounds for kids and a public bathroom.
The Nuke
Good space to chill and rejuvenate. Enjoy the vast lawns and the trail to mont royal! Great space if you have kids and/or pets. Almost a good area for picnics too.

I was sad to see so much destruction in this lovely park one of the few places that has lines of trees around the edges and open green spaces in the middle. Only a few were completely uprooted, most were brunches that had broken off. Dispute this people were out as the sun was shining

Fun place for young children (under 8). Many choices of play grounds.. and a chance to discover your fun. This park got many trees, so many shades too. Also there are few picnic tables too

Lovely, shaded playground at the foot of Mount Royal. Older kids playground with lots of unique climbing including a large web tower and heavy rope bridge. Fun circle swing and nice old trees surround the playground. Younger kids playground is entirely fenced (a few gates) with several small areas for sand play, climbing and spinning equipment. Nearby toilets make it a perfect afternoon spot. Smal...
