What makes it 43% Baby-Friendly: Babies are admitted, but narrow passages, few ground-floor seats, no changing table, and tricky stroller access mean parents must plan carefully or limit stay; check with venue first.
Note: Huisje van Majutte is 43% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Bruges for a more suitable experience.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to explore the cottage, complete the mouse hunt and enjoy a café snack at a relaxed pace with a baby.
Explore the Historic Rooms:
Walk through the original 18th-century fisherman's cottage rooms and see antique tools.
Tip: Use a baby carrier for narrow doorways and step-free ground-floor access.
Complete the Mouse Hunt:
Pick up the free map and find 14 hidden wooden mice throughout the rooms.
Tip: Keep baby entertained in a carrier while you hunt together.
Enjoy Regional Snacks:
Try the café’s slufferkoek or shrimp croquettes made from a family recipe.
Tip: Reserve a ground-floor table for stroller access and sit on the sunny terrace.
