How Baby-Friendly is Belgium Pier?

53%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 53% Baby-Friendly: Parents with strollers enjoy the level surface and sea air, but the pier lacks guaranteed nursing rooms or diaper tables; you must use shore toilets or ask the brasserie, so plan short stays.

Positives:

  • Flat, Safe Walkway: Wide concrete deck with railings on both sides makes pram-pushing easy.
  • Compact Half-Day Trip: Straightforward layout lets you see key sights in under three hours.
  • Free Summer Mobility Aids: Badengebouw lends beach wheelchairs and float-chairs at no cost.

Challenges:

  • No On-Pier Changing Rooms: Pier lacks baby-changing stations; plan to use the Zeedijk facilities.
  • Exposure to Wind: The pier can be gusty—dress in layers and avoid peak wind hours.
  • Limited Brasserie Seating: High chairs and quiet corners are by request only; reserve in advance.

Food was insanely good. I was in paris for 2 days and this was way better than the food i had in a parisian restaurant. The staff are also very friendly. Thr gentleman and the woman were always helping us and taking care of us well. You also have the beautiful view of the ocean from this place. Highly recommended

Just look and the photo and imagine this: you get to eat a delicious dessert, while sitting on the pier of Blankenberge, surrounded by water, good atmosphere and sun 🌞! The only little downside, if I have to, is that I had to wait a bit longer than anticipated on getting my dessert, but hey, it's not that big of a deal since the view is amazing!

Cool location but quite out dated interiors and a bit dirty. But awesome view and very friendly staff.

Beautiful place. There are many restaurants with a great beach view. Great place to have a nice walk by the water and experience the blissful sunset. Recommended for tourists. There was some construction work going on right now but it is still worth a visit for a beautiful calm evening by the sea.
