Suitable for small children up to around 6 years old at most. There's not much to do with older kids. My 2-year-old daughter enjoyed the museum, but my 9-year-old son didn’t like it at all — he went through it in just 15 minutes. It lacks interactivity: most of the toys are behind glass, and the ones that are accessible are not of the best quality.

The best 5 euros ever spent for myself and almost two year old. Absolutely fascinated by the toy car collection and model railway. This is a museum built for kids. Just perfect for a morning in Salzburg. There are staff thoroughly cleaning areas throughout the day which is great to see.

We took 2 children aged 6 and 9 and they absolutely loved it. We didn’t think they would enjoy it for so long but they adored just adored it.

Free for adults with Salburz pass, 2 euro.for my 5 yo. Great place for the kids to play and great place for adults to rest tired feet as they have a lot of sitting areas while kids play

My kids - 2, 7, 11 y.o. enjoyed it a lot. We paid 10 euro for 2 adults and 3 kids. And it is worth every cents. I recommend to bring your own socks, because you can't wear shoes in the museum. We spent around 2 hours.
In summer, visit at opening to avoid school-group crowds. In winter, afternoons are quieter for relaxed exploring.
