Positives:

  • Central location: On Getreidegasse, you can easily link this visit to other solo walks in the old town.
  • Quiet research spaces: The audio-visual library offers secluded tables for listening or study.

Challenges:

  • Compact rooms: The eight restored rooms are small and can feel crowded at peak times.
  • Limited signage: Some displays lack English labels, so download the audio guide in advance.

The Mozart family lived here from 1773 to 1787 but W A Mozart left the place in 1781 to live with his wife Constanze in rented apartments in Vienna. I missed an impression of the original decorations of the 18th century but that may be due to the fact that the house was largely destroyed by a bomb in 1944. It was later meticulously reconstructed true to the original plans. There were some inter...

Unless you view Mozart with Utmost devotion, this place is entirely skippable.. Almost half the artifacts displayed has no relevance to Mozart.. For most, this mueseum for a 15 Euro it will appear a rip-off. Save this money and attent a Mozart Concert in town or in Vienna instead

We been there last May and the place is just normal. Its an old building and you can see a small sign with Mozart woonhaus on it with austrian flag. Its a museum but we didnt go inside for the tour. Its easily accessible to public transportation in Austria and its also nearby like 5 min walking to the Mirabelle palace garden

We found the city pass very convenient and saved money for all the places we planned to go in the city, just walk to the door and show them the tickets on my phone. This place was not very exciting, but it fulfilled my curiosity. It didn't take us too much ti...

Nothing too interesting if you aren’t really a music fan… had I known this I would’ve skipped this to save some money and I’d have gone straight to the birth house, which was very interesting indeed. Enjoyed the free app with the guided tour.
