What makes it 79% Kids-Friendly: Kids get beaches with slides, trampolines, playgrounds, minigolf and beginner hikes, but parents must supervise deep water and check opening months of Fuschlseebad and rope park.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: This allows time for swimming, a short hike on the Gnomes Path, and a snack without overloading young children.
Fuschlseebad Beach & Pool:
Jump down the slide into the clear lake and play in the heated pool.
Tip: Arrive when it opens to grab a shaded spot and use the children’s sand bay.
Bathing Beach Wesenauer:
Swim from the natural shore, bounce on the water trampoline and play volleyball.
Tip: Bring swimsuits and water shoes; parking fills by late morning.
Gnomes Path:
Walk a 0.7 km loop past story panels and wooden gnomes.
Tip: Bring small snacks and water; trail is stroller-friendly on the lower section.
Electric Barge Ride:
Take a round-trip cruise on the Zillenfahrt across the lake.
Tip: Buy tickets at Waldhof Fuschlsee; kids under 6 ride free.
Mini Golf:
Play a 9-hole game next to the lakeside pool.
Tip: Pay only €3.50 a person; use it as a break between swims.

One of the most beautiful lakes in Austria, and also the clearest water in Austria. But almost all areas were private, which meant it wasn't easy to find areas to enter the lake. But we still found some secret places that make us like have a private lake area. We didn't do full complete ways around the lake because we didn't use comfortable shoes for walking. Notes: parking can be a bit confusing...

So many times I have been in and around this beautiful lake and it never disappoints me. Sunrise or sunset and everything in between, it’s gorgeous. The water is pure and most of the time you see the ground. A real gem in the heart of an amazing area.

Beautiful lake with crystal clear water. As I found out, motor boats are prohibited (thanks God!), therefore you can enjoy peaceful and quiet time at the one of the beaches around the lake. Highly recommended!
Swim season runs May–Sept. In early summer water warms slowly—bring a wetsuit for sensitive kids. In autumn, forest trails show red and gold foliage.
