We had fun with the family and we went swimming in the middle of the cold river in the summer. I recommend visiting it

Nice walk on long forest road up to Hallerangerhaus. The road is steep at the end and gravel all the way to he Hütte. No problems walking in the rain. Beautiful scenery

Well, this is such a beautiful route along the river between high mountains to reach the source of Isar from Scharnitz. Good road conditions for cycling 🚴♂️ even with a kids trailer attached. Highly recommended for a day/half a day trip.

Incredible bike path and astounding views
Spring snowmelt gives the Isar vivid turquoise pools. Summer trails are snow-free and the Infozentrum Scharnitz runs mid-May to October. Autumn larches glow gold along the valley. In winter, only experienced hikers with snowshoes or skis should attempt the route.
