What makes it 54% Baby-Friendly: Parents may wheel a stroller along the level nave and rest on benches, but there is no changing table, no nursing room, and the echoing space makes infant cries conspicuous, which lowers comfort.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to see the multimedia show, explore the mausoleum and enjoy quiet feeding breaks without rushing
Enter easily with a stroller:
Use the level-access ramp and flat floors to wheel in smoothly
Tip: Fold any extra items to fit down narrow aisles
Find quiet feeding spots:
Sit on benches in the church or cloister for a calm break
Tip: Bring a soft blanket or small pillow for extra comfort
Use barrier-free toilets:
Ask staff at the Volkskunstmuseum to open the accessible restroom
Tip: Carry a portable changing pad since no changing tables are available
Admire bronze warrior figures:
Spot the 28 life-size statues around Emperor Maximilian’s sarcophagus
Tip: Point out different poses to give your baby visual interest

The entry costs 9 eur per adult but we found it worthwhile. The church is filled with human size metal sculptures made with incredible artistry. Between them is a mosuleum surrounded by marbel plates carved with tiny details.. Amazing artwork allaround.

It is pretty expensive (8 euros) to go inside the church, but it is free with the Innsbruck card. For the Innsbruck card, you may have to squeeze quite a lot of activities to make it worth though

A beautiful church housing the tomb of emperor Maximillian I. The statues and detailing of the building make this an interesting place to look around for a while. A combination ticket can be purchased to enter the attached museum as well.

Absolutely fantastic church and museum, a definite must see if you are in Innsbruck and have even the smallest interest in history and/or religion. It’s not huge but a very interesting visit.

Amazing church with attached museum that is fascinating. The artwork and artifacts are amazing. Tickets are not expensive for what you get to see. I recommend doing the museum first and then the church.
Summer mornings keep the interior cool with fewer crowds. In winter, combine your visit with a stroller-friendly walk through the nearby Christmas market.
