What makes it 81% Solo-Friendly: The free skate park, patrolled beach and shaded lawns give a solo traveller active and quiet options, and paths connect to cafés, so the park suits varied solo schedules. Night lighting is limited.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time to skate, stroll the coastal path, relax under shade sails, and browse the Friday markets
Coolum Beach Skate Park:

Tip: Bring your skateboard or scooter and arrive before noon to join local riders when it’s cooler and less crowded
Coastal Pathway Stroll or Jog:
Wide, flat path linking Tickle Park to Coolum village and nearby beaches
Tip: Start at sunrise for fewer people and better light for photos
Shade Sail Relaxation:
Picnic shelters with tables and benches overlooking the playground and beach
Tip: Pack a book or journal and a reusable water bottle to refill at park fountains
Coolum Twilight Markets:
Fridays 4–8 pm in peak season, with food stalls, live music and local crafts
Tip: Come early to secure a seat under the lights and sample wood-fired pizza or fresh fruit drinks

Fantastic spot for all to enjoy. Always super clean and tidy, great well looked after amenities (toilets, outdoor shower, bbq, bins etc). Great little park for kids too. Easy access to beach via steps and ramp. No time restrictions on day time parking. Overnight camping is not allowed on green or in the car park. Out cinema is often hosted here too
