Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Long enough to explore rockpools, watch wildlife, and enjoy a sunset without feeling rushed.
Sunset Beach Stroll:
Walk hand-in-hand along the curved shoreline as the sky turns pink and gold.

Rockpool Exploration:
Step into shallow pools at low tide and spot small fish, crabs, and seashells.
Tip: Wear reef shoes for grip and check tide times online before you go.
Wildlife Watching:
Scan the water for bottlenose dolphins and green turtles feeding near the rocks.
Tip: Visit at high tide in clear winter mornings for the best sightings.
Self-Guided Photo Session:
Use the natural rock formations and clear water as a backdrop for couple portraits.
Tip: Shoot during golden hour and bring a reflector or phone flash for fill light.

Tip: Pack pre-chopped snacks; there are no BBQs or cafes at First Bay.

Beautiful and quiet rocky beach. I'm also not sure how blow holes form but it feels like there might be potential for one here based on the bubbles coming up through the sandy pools whenever a wave hits the cave under the rocks. Regardless, very cool

We came here after sunset but it looks like a STUNNING beach and we will definitely be back! I loved the fact there were free beach toys in a “toy library” for kids to use during their visit. Showers right next to the stairs. What a gem!!

Nice small beach. The beach side quite sandy. And other part is rocky.
Winter mornings (June–August) offer clearer water and cooler air for wildlife spotting. Summer afternoons can get hot—bring sun protection and avoid midday heat.
