Follow the smooth concrete path along the headland for sea views.
Tip: Use the path to reach Kings Beach and back without bumps or stairs.
Grass-mat tummy time and naps:
Lay your blanket on the grassy area for baby play or naps.
Tip: Use picnic tables nearby to change diapers or feed.
Picnic at open-pit barbecue:
Light the free barbecue to cook a simple meal by the sea.
Tip: Bring easy-to-prepare food and keep it shaded.

Centaur Park is a memorial park set up by the Sunshine Coast Council and the Caloundra RSL in the commemoration of the tragic sinking of the Australian Centaur Hospital ship ๐ข at 4.10 am on the 14th of May 1943. As part of the coastal walkway it is a nice place to stop if you have a packed lunch or need to have a break with a view. There isnโt a playground or toilets here but there is picnic tables and barbecues. With views of Bribie Island and Stradbroke Island it is definitely worth a visit on a nice clear day. Only downside is there isnโt a great deal of shade.

A beautiful place to experience the calm of the sea breeze and the endless ocean with mystical views. Part of the Sunshine Coasts coastal walk. Toilets are found at Kings Beach. Parking is next to the park and along the coastal path.

A lovely little around on the boardwalk pathway and memorial walk around Kings beach. A beautiful tribute to our fallen and a great spot for really seeing the beautiful country we have and they fought for. ๐

The tables were in good condition, the hotplates were very clean and the barbeque started ...
There is little natural shade year-round. Bring hats, sunscreen and water. Avoid midday sun in summer. Winter mornings are calm and ideal for strolls.
