What makes it 83% Solo-Friendly: Free entry, shaded paths for jogging, benches for reading and coastal views; no onsite café or night lighting, so evening solo visitors may find facilities limited.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Gives time for a jog, nature spotting, and a break in the amphitheatre without rushing.
Loop Jog or Power Walk:
Follow the 1 km paved path through shaded pines and fig trees.
Tip: Start early to avoid heat; pause at the Lone Pine viewpoint for coastal views.
Amphitheatre Relaxation:
Use the terraced grass seats for reading, meditation, or stretching.
Tip: Bring a yoga mat or light blanket; choose a spot near the top for morning sun.
Bird Watching:
Spot rainbow lorikeets and honeyeaters among the trees.
Tip: Listen for calls; quiet footsteps on grass will bring birds closer.
Sketching or Journaling:
Sit on a bench by the basalt mounds or pine grove to draw or write.
Tip: Pack a small sketchbook and pens; no free Wi-Fi means fewer distractions.

Great spot for a BBQ, kids party or a view of the coast. Plenty of open space, lots of shade, ample parking
Nick Jackson
Relaxed open area with kids' playground, and adjacent to popular coffee shops. Great views of the coast. Dogs welcome but must be on a lead, and not in the playground. Plenty of parking
Demi Harris
Excellent park for a picnic. Stunning views. Clean. Plenty of seating and areas for the kids to play. All the BBQs were in use and there are public toilets.

On the day we visited it was damp underdoof and raining. We had a function to set up, so we made use of the stage area. This is a great space, we stayed mostly dry! With lots of young families in the park there was a wholesome vibe.

This is a lovely park to have lunch and take people for the lovely views too
During summer, go early and carry water and sunscreen. In spring, watch for blooming wildflowers and increased bird activity. In winter, mornings are cool but midday sun hits open areas.
