What makes it 79% Baby-Friendly: Pram-friendly paths, shade, water and toilets help with feeds and naps; lack of dedicated nursing room or assured change table means parents must bring a mat and sun gear.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a stroller stroll, sand play, picnic and rest breaks without rushing.
Stroller-friendly pathway stroll:
Follow the smooth concrete paths around the park under shady trees.
Tip: Plan a loop of about 1 km and stop at benches to feed or rest.
Sand pit sensory play:
Let your baby explore textures in the shallow sand play area near the playground.
Tip: Bring a small bucket and spade and a spare change mat for quick clean-up.
Picnic under a sheltered table:
Use one of the covered picnic shelters with built-in barbecue and tables.
Tip: Arrive early to grab a table in full shade and pack easy-to-feed snacks.
Rest and feed in the amphitheatre:
Use the tiered grass seating for a quiet spot to breastfeed or bottle-feed.
Tip: Bring a light blanket or portable chair for extra comfort.

Great spot for a BBQ, kids party or a view of the coast. Plenty of open space, lots of shade, ample parking
Nick Jackson
Relaxed open area with kids' playground, and adjacent to popular coffee shops. Great views of the coast. Dogs welcome but must be on a lead, and not in the playground. Plenty of parking
Demi Harris
Excellent park for a picnic. Stunning views. Clean. Plenty of seating and areas for the kids to play. All the BBQs were in use and there are public toilets.

On the day we visited it was damp underdoof and raining. We had a function to set up, so we made use of the stage area. This is a great space, we stayed mostly dry! With lots of young families in the park there was a wholesome vibe.

This is a lovely park to have lunch and take people for the lovely views too
In summer, visit before 10 AM to avoid peak sun and UV. Winter mornings offer cool air for comfy strolls. After rain, check for slippery patches on paths.
