What makes it 69% Baby-Friendly: Parents with a baby find pram ramps, baby-change rooms and shady grass, but off-leash dogs, blowing sand and no quiet nursing room demand extra vigilance and may shorten stays.
Why 22 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to roll the stroller along paths, rest in shade, change baby and paddle.
Stroll on pram-friendly paths:
Follow smooth ramps from the car park to the grass reserve and beach.
Tip: Start near the café entry for the gentlest slopes.
Use family change rooms:
Find baby-change benches and roomy stalls in the new changeroom block.
Tip: Bring nappies and wipes; the fold-down benches free up space.
Rest under shaded gazebos:
Settle at covered picnic tables for feeding or a nap.
Tip: Arrive before lunchtime to secure a shaded spot.
Paddle in shallow water:
Hold baby in the calm, knee-deep water at low tide.
Tip: Check tide times and go within an hour of low tide.
Watch dogs play from benches:
Sit on timber seats by the grass reserve to view dogs running off-leash.
Tip: Pick a bench facing north for a clear view of the dog beach.

A little patch of happiness, dog or no dog. My sister loves this spot for the calm & clear waters, great for kids & families. I love the spot because dogs are just the best! We've been fostering & often bring our fosters here after 2 or 3 weeks to expose them to the beach, & this one is pretty chill even with other peoples doggos. After 5 fosters, I think we're finally going to fail on our sixth, ...

Nice open green space for dogs and people to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze

It's a fun place to bring your dog for a swim, a run and a good gossip with all the other dogs.

Lovely lil friendly area with a great view & delicious food truck (the pickled octopus) for a fresh n tasty before or after swim bite 😍 Grassed area has shade, couple of picnic tables and benches so plenty of spots to sit. Reasonable parking available close by to the rinse showers/tap so your dog doesn't stink out the car either! Wish I'd come here earlier!

On holiday in Fremantle so needed a dog beach, so glad to find this one. All the dogs seemed friendly and had a few chats with others on holiday, everyone was great. A lot of people come for the sunset, it’s so lovely, especially over the harbour. Plenty of bins around and dog bag holders.
In summer book the free beach wheelchair in advance and visit early to avoid heat. In winter bring a light jacket for cool sea breezes.
