What makes it 71% Solo-Friendly: The lake loop, bird hide and free rope courses keep a lone visitor active and inspired, but the setting revolves around children so a solo adult may feel out of place after a short stay.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Time to tackle the rope course, explore sculptures, and join a lake walk without rushing.
Aerial rope & climbing course:
Navigate the tree-top rope walk, high ropes obstacles and climbing frames.
Tip: Wear closed shoes and gloves; start with lower elements to build confidence.
In-ground trampolines & fossil dig:
Bounce on built-in trampolines and unearth replica Diprotodon fossils.
Tip: Bring a small bag for keepsakes and wear comfortable shorts.
Walliabup Wetland Trail birdwatching:
Walk the 1 km loop through jarrah-banksia woodland to a floating boardwalk and bird hide.
Tip: Carry binoculars and a bird guide app for species ID.
Sculpture photo hunt:
Find the giant metal bulrushes with water jets and turtle sculptures.
Tip: Shoot in late afternoon for soft light and fewer reflections.
Guided 8 km lake circuit:
Join BirdLife WA’s free guided walk around Bibra Lake.
Tip: Book online in advance and bring a hat and sturdy shoes.

Has to be one of the best playgrounds ever, huge with loads of activity and challenging play equipment for all ages.

I really love Bibra Lake Regional Playground! It’s such a peaceful place with so many fun things for kids to explore. There’s always a nice breeze from the lake and it feels relaxing just to sit and watch the children play. My kids especially love the flying fox😂 Highly recommend it to any family in Perth! 🫰🏻

Great enclosed playground for all ages kids, loads of climbing things, slides, swings, sand and water play, you name it. Plenty of bbq plates and seating area too. Ours favourite has to be the flying fox!

Wonderful place to bring the kids! Impressive playground suitable for kids of varying ages. We spent a memorable afternoon having a picnic lunch with family and our grandson enjoying himself thoroughly.

It is such a good place to bring your kids for weekends entertainment and fun. It's free for all. The playground has a good number of playground equipment and amenities. Kids seem to love the net-house style bridge. There is wildlife around the lake - a lot of birds. But lake looks really dry on the sides except in its centre.
Arrive before 10 am on hot days to beat the heat. In spring, look for wildflowers along the trail. After rain, watch for slippery boardwalks.
