What makes it 47% Baby-Friendly: A boat day trip with shade and toilets is doable with an infant carried in a front pack; still, there are no change tables, no pram paths, long sun exposure and emergency help is distant.
Note: Whitsunday Islands National Park is 47% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Great Barrier Reef Area for a more suitable experience.
Why 0.5-1 day visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for a short beach walk, lookout visit and boat cruise without rushing the baby.
Beach Track to Lookout Beach:
Short 500 m return walk through coastal forest to a quiet white-sand beach at Hill Inlet mouth.
Tip: Use a front baby carrier and start early to avoid midday sun. Bring water and set up at the shaded picnic table near the trailhead.
Whitehaven Beach Day Cruise:
Join a commercial boat tour to Whitehaven with onboard toilets and shaded seating.
Tip: Check with the operator for infant-seat availability. Choose a morning departure for calmer seas and cooler temperatures.
Solway Circuit:
1.2 km loop from Whitehaven Beach up to rocky lookouts over Solway Passage.
Tip: Wear a secure baby carrier with good support. Skip this trail if you need a flat path for a stroller.

This is such a beautiful park! I am surprised you allow tour groups to feed wildlife in the park though, as noticed here on 2/20 at 2pm. Animals should live in their natural environment at all times, not rely on attracted by fish pellets ....

All of the islands of the Whitsundays are managed to an international standard by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park offices. They are polite and courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. All of the barbecue areas walking trails and information along the way is outstanding and is it a must for anyone who wants to come and see this beautiful part of the world.

The water is so clean, clear and takes 10 min walk with steps (not that’s bad) to see a beautiful ocean view and a bottle tree with two babies string fishes. It was a nice day to visit the Whitsunday Islands.
FamilyTravel Notes
Just beautiful! We took ferry tour, however I think a flight over this beautiful spot would be worth splurging. Just to see the white sand and the clear blue water. Tips: May was a bit too cold. And make sure to take something for sea sickness. Our ride there was quite choppy. Enjoy the white sand beach where the treasure chest scene of Pirates of the Caribbean movie was filmed.
From June to September, watch migrating humpback whales on calm winter days. In summer, begin walks early to avoid midday heat.
