How Baby-Friendly is Bicentennial Walkway?

80%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 80% Baby-Friendly: Most sections take a pram and both lagoon and Cannonvale parks offer change tables and shaded rest spots, yet short stair areas mean a brief lift and midday heat demands extra sun care.

(from 61 reviews)

Positives:

  • Flat and stroller-friendly path: Most of the walkway is sealed and level, ideal for smooth pram rides
  • Frequent rest spots: Benches, grassy patches and shaded shelters appear every 500m for feeding or nappy changes

Challenges:

  • Short stair sections: A few staircases near the marina are not pram-accessible; a baby carrier helps here
  • Exposed midday sun: Limited shade in open sections can get hot for your baby around midday

We started this boardwalk at the Lagoon and it’s a good 35 mins one way to the end of the path to Cannonvale where you turn around and return. Easy walk. Highly Recommend :-)

You've got wet, rippled sand in the foreground that looks perfect for squelching your toes in, if you don't mind dodging all those dark, scattered rocks. The beach leads back to a rugged shoreline with rolling hills in the distance. The soft, hazy light and pale sky give it a very peaceful, 'I'm-escaping-it-all' kind of vibe.

The coastal trail is very well built, very clean and has many places to rest, I love it here!

Beautiful walkway with lots of things to look at and read on the way from Cannonvale beach to Airlie Lagoon. Sculptures, restaurants, yacht club, stand up paddle boarding, kayaks and tour booking places. It's around 4klm long.
