What makes it 80% Baby-Friendly: Most sections take a pram and both lagoon and Cannonvale parks offer change tables and shaded rest spots, yet short stair areas mean a brief lift and midday heat demands extra sun care.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows a leisurely pace with breaks for feeding, nappy changes, and lagoon play
Pram-friendly Lagoon Stroll:
Walk from Airlie Beach Lagoon along the sealed path to Cannonvale Parklands
Tip: Bring a pram with sturdy wheels and a baby carrier for the short stair sections near the marina
Lagoon Baby Pool & Feeding Break:
Use the shallow infant pool and covered picnic shelters at Airlie Beach Lagoon
Tip: Feed or change baby in the family change rooms before you start the walk
Picnic at Cannonvale Parklands:
Rest at the parklands playground and barbecue area by the foreshore
Tip: Refill bottles at nearby water fountains and use shaded picnic tables
Café Takeaway Stop:
Grab warm milk, snacks or light meals from The Fat Frog or Sorrento’s Marina Café
Tip: Ask for a highchair and use the parent’s toilet with change table

We started this boardwalk at the Lagoon and it’s a good 35 mins one way to the end of the path to Cannonvale where you turn around and return. Easy walk. Highly Recommend :-)

You've got wet, rippled sand in the foreground that looks perfect for squelching your toes in, if you don't mind dodging all those dark, scattered rocks. The beach leads back to a rugged shoreline with rolling hills in the distance. The soft, hazy light and pale sky give it a very peaceful, 'I'm-escaping-it-all' kind of vibe.

The coastal trail is very well built, very clean and has many places to rest, I love it here!

Beautiful walkway with lots of things to look at and read on the way from Cannonvale beach to Airlie Lagoon. Sculptures, restaurants, yacht club, stand up paddle boarding, kayaks and tour booking places. It's around 4klm long.

Highly recommended something that everyone can do , at 12 it’s almost empty if you want ti have good pics . This is the time .. just be careful with the scooters . Enjoy!
In summer, walk before 9am or after 4pm to avoid heat. In winter, enjoy cooler sea breezes and quieter paths
