What makes it 92% Kids-Friendly: Primary-age children can feed kangaroos, ride ponies, dash through Pig’s Playground and learn at lively shearing shows; fenced play, shade and toilets keep the visit smooth for parents.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: This timeframe covers key animal shows, feeding sessions, and a quick playground break without tiring young children.
Wildlife Walkabout & Animal Nursery:
Feed kangaroos and wallabies in the free-roam paddock. Pet lambs, piglets and calves in the nursery.
Tip: Bring a small pouch of feed from Guest Services and let kids hand-feed under keeper supervision.
Sheep Shearing & Stock Horse Arena Shows:
Watch expert shearers trim sheep and stockmen herd sheep with whip-cracking and whip-throwing demos.
Tip: Check the show schedule on entry and arrive 5 minutes early for front-row views.
Shaun the Sheep Meet & Greet:
Join a barnyard dance with Shaun, Bitzer and friends. Great for silly photos and kid engagement.
Tip: Plan this between tractor rides and lunch to break up walking for little legs.
Pig’s Playground & Water Play:
Let kids climb multi-level towers in the fenced playground. Cool off at the hand-pump water play.
Tip: Pack a towel and change of clothes for the water area. Supervision seating is shaded nearby.
Gold Panning & Opal Mining:
Try panning for gold or hunting for opals in a safe display area. Keep whatever you find.
Tip: Book your spot early at Guest Services; wear closed-toe shoes and bring a small bag for finds.

Paradise Country was a lovely, low-key change of pace after the hustle and bustle of the bigger theme parks like Movie World and Sea World. It offered a more relaxed atmosphere, with a rural charm that was refreshing. The shows were surprisingly engaging—especially the stockman and horse shows, which gave a nice insight into Aussie farm life. It was great to see characters like Shaun the Sheep, w...

We had such a good day at the farm. It’s really spacious and relaxed, and the animals are super friendly. The kids had a blast brushing the goats and checking out all the animals up close. The tractor ride was fun, and the $10 pony rides are a great option for the little ones. We also caught the sheepdog show—it was honestly one of the highlights, really fun to watch. You can even take a photo wi...

This is a cute little wildlife park that also features some domesticated livestock. There are photo opportunities with koalas and dingoes, and twice daily lorikeet feeding (to watch, not participate in). You can do a Farmstay experience and sleep over "glamping"-style. We did the Koala Breakfast encounter, which consisted of a buffet cooked breakfast and the opportunity to view a koala having the...

Absolutely loved it here the animals were so cute and was great atmosphere. The kids had a great time brushing the goats and looking at all the animals. They have a tractor ride that takes u around and $10 pony rides which is great. Will definitely be returning

Really basic. Shows were underdone, short, not interesting. Shaun the sheep show could have been fun, but was about 3 minutes of dancing to music .. what a shame. Wouldn't have taken much to add a 15 min play for the kids. Not many kangaroos, or variety in animals. Lone Pine is a better bet for families.
Summer (Dec–Feb) can exceed 30 °C: bring hats, sunscreen and refillable water. Winter mornings are cool: wear layers. Weekdays are quieter outside school holidays.
