Children are welcome at lunchtime and staff can provide highchairs, but there is no play area, loud music starts mid-afternoon and gaming zones mean parents must supervise constantly.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: A visit lasting 2-3 hours allows time for a leisurely waterfront meal, live music and a short marina stroll.
Early waterfront lunch:
Enjoy fish & chips, schnitzel or pasta with harbor views.
Tip: Arrive by 11am to get a kids-friendly table before the lunch crowd.
Family-style seafood platter:
Share prawns, oysters and calamari on a large platter.
Tip: Ask for fresh picks and split portions so kids can sample small bites.
Sunday afternoon live music:
Catch free live jazz or cover-band sets by the water.
Tip: Bring ear protection if your child is sensitive to loud sounds.
Marina boardwalk stroll:
Walk along the pier and watch yachts docking.
Tip: Plan a 10-15 minute stroll after eating to tire out little feet.

Tavern on the water. Awesome venue for lunches with the family. Water level among the yachts on the broadwater. Its not kids friendly due to its location on the water. The venue does have the usual pokies and gaming. Pool table and outside patio area. Massive bar and undercover dining when weather is bad. Wheelchair friendly. Portions are big. Lots of seagulls, please note.

Appetizer soft shell crab is delicious, just bit salty. But there is local standard taste. Environment also nice to taking photos

We were really keen to try this place for a nice night out for dinner as others had posted great reviews. We ordered medium well steaks. The first time they came out they were blue-rare. We asked the kitchen to please cook them longer. 5 mins later they came back out no better. The staff also were not friendly or overly helpful when sorting this issue. The steak was still inedible and such a waste...

Worst dining experience ever. The only thing that made each meal somewhat palatable was the the bottle of wine we ordered with dinner. I could have made the kids fettuccine bologniase better with my eyes closed. The seafood basket was a hard pass... it was overcooked and dry. The meals were rushed with no care taken at all. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. Menu was basic and bland. Sorry g...

You just gotta have seafood in the Gold coast and Fisherman’s Wharf offers wholesome & fresh seafood. The view and beers are equally satisfying. In a nutshell, it’s a great place to have a long weekend lunch or even a long weekday lunch if you can escape from your boss.
