Positives:

  • Pram-friendly access: Sealed road and short bitumen path to the lookout suit most strollers.
  • Free parking and entry: No fees or permits needed, and parking sits close to the summit facilities.

Challenges:

  • No baby-change tables: Public toilets lack dedicated change facilities; bring a portable mat.
  • Limited water and shade: No drinking fountains; seating is in partial shade, so carry extra water.

Breathtaking view of south Canberra. It's free and no advanced booking needed unless you plan to visit the cafe/restaurant on top of Red Hill. It's one of many gems in Canberra and fully accessible by hiking, cycling or driving. Highly recommended.

Incredibly beautiful walk/hike. Highly recommend. You don’t need to be experienced to walk this track at all, it is very clear and easy. Would’ve been 5 stars however the parking situation is very unclear. Google Maps takes you to a dirt track that is not ideal for parking or driving at all, during our walk we found out that there is a legitimate carpark however the map did not take me there.
