Parking cost $17 all day so the gardens are free but get money from the parking fees so the gardens are not actually free unless you know some were to park. We only spent a couple of hours here. We could easily have spent the day, and we will at some future time. The displays are varied and interesting. I recommend going to the visitors centre 1st and collect a free map. The staff are friendly ans helpful. I particularly liked the red centre display.
