What makes it 60% Kids-Friendly: Kids can turn the leaflet into a treasure hunt and enjoy youth-choir Mass, but they must stay quiet, cannot touch exhibits and there are no dedicated play or learning stations, limiting fun length.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: A 1–2 hour visit lets your family complete a fun treasure hunt, attend a short Mass, and enjoy the nearby plaza without rushing.
Leaflet Treasure Hunt:
Give each child a free guide leaflet and find features like the baptismal font, stained-glass panels, and statues.
Tip: Set a timer for 15 minutes per feature to keep kids engaged.
Family Mass with Youth Choir:
Attend the 11 am Sunday Mass featuring the youth choir.
Tip: Arrive 10 minutes early to get seats near the choir for better sound.
Mary MacKillop Plaza Break:
Let kids run or relax on the lawn next to the bronze statue.
Tip: Bring snacks and a small blanket for a quick picnic on the grass.
Victoria Square Splash Fountains:
Walk one block to the splash fountains for free water play.
Tip: Pack towels and a change of clothes; fountains run in warmer months.

Absolutely stunning place, you will be in awe of its beauty. City of Churches! I had my 112 year old bible blessed by the father and am very grateful

We dropped by this church which is near Victoria Square. The place is large and historic dating back to 1851. It's a peaceful and calming place. The stained glass was beautiful.

St Francis Xavier Cathedral in Adelaide is a beautiful Catholic Church with lovely architecture. It’s peaceful and open to the public to kneel and pray.
Vincentia S. S.
A beautiful Catholic Church with a heavenly voice of young people's choir. Enjoyed the 6.00pm Sunday Mass.
In summer, visit early to avoid peak heat and enjoy the splash fountains. In winter, wear layers for the cool stone interior.
