What makes it 92% Kids-Friendly: Kids up to 12 can climb themed towers, crawl the snake maze and splash in Fourth Creek; BBQs, shaded tables and toilets sit beside the play area, allowing easy all-day supervision.
Why 3–4 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time to explore all play zones, enjoy a picnic and do a short nature walk without rushing kids.
Themed Play Zones:
Climb on Frog Island, Eagle’s Perch, Great Snake maze, Birds Nest platforms and natural boulders.
Tip: Guide younger kids on higher platforms and swap turns so all ages can join safely.
Creek-edge Exploration:
Search for tadpoles, yabbies and small frogs along Fourth Creek just below the playground.
Tip: Bring a small net and bucket, and use water shoes to keep feet safe on stones.
Picnic and BBQ:
Use the free barbecue grills and shaded picnic tables by the playspace.
Tip: Arrive with sausages or burgers ready to cook and pack picnic plates and cutlery.
First Falls Walk:
Take the easy Grade 2 trail (3.6 km return) to view the waterfall via a smooth boardwalk.
Tip: A pram or stroller fits the path; older kids can help spot wildlife on the way.
Wildlife Treasure Hunt:
Spot kangaroos, kookaburra calls, honeyeaters and frogs with a simple checklist.
Tip: Print or draw a checklist before you go to keep kids engaged on the trail.

Great place for kids, family picnic and natural walks. There is toilet and BBQ pit. Plenty of parking too. Kids can bring their bicycle for riding around the park.

Kids absolutely love spending time here. Playing in the nature play or in the creek. They never get bored visiting this place. Loads of space for parents to relax.

A little out of the way. 40 minutes out from the city (by bus) Worth the time to travel there. Large playground, lots of shade for a picnic. Very well maintained! The table tops are still garnished and we saw workmen checking on the play equipment, bbq pits and improving the tables during our visit! Toilets are clean, a real plus!
Visit in winter and spring for stronger waterfall flow. In summer, go early to avoid heat and use the shaded picnic shelters.
