I’m definitely not an art expert, but I really enjoyed Carrick Hill. The place is clean, calm, and beautifully looked after, and it’s easy to just admire everything without feeling overwhelmed. I loved learning about Adelaide’s old socialite history and how the house was actually lived in, not just displayed. If you’re like me and don’t know much about art, I’d really recommend joining a guided to...

Carrick Hill is a beautifully preserved cultural destination that offers a unique and enriching experience just minutes from the city. The historic house is filled with an impressive collection of art, antiques, and period furnishings, giving visitors a genuine sense of life in a grand early-20th-century home. Each room is thoughtfully curated, making the guided and self-guided tours both informat...

During our 1st ever visit to Carrick House today all I can think is "what took us so long to get here and discover this treasure?" In the house, the artwork alone is worthy of the world's best art galleries. Recommend taking the Audio Tour to understand CHH's history and its people, and to enjoy the musical score which adds to the ambience. Would also recommend to 'house-tour first timers' who tak...

A beautiful house with a remarkable history. The house is always showing exhibitions and there is a small kiosk style cafe and amazing new gift shop. Wander around the beautifully landscaped gardens with roses and orchard. Perfect view of the city. Great place for a garden wedding.

Wow, the house was dressed ready for Christmas. Stunning!🤩🌲 It's a wonderful slice of South Australian history that everyone should see. We had lunch at the new Rozelles Cafe and loved the views. Their pizzas accompanied with their salad was delicious. A lovely stroll through the gardens completed a lovely afternoon.
In spring (August–October) camellias and rhododendrons bloom around the house. In summer (December–February) book Sunset Sessions for outdoor concerts with a drink included.
