Le Grand Hanoi Hotel (solo trip)

The hotel sits on a quite neighborhood. The room is decent and clean. Planned to stay for one night, but turns in to 5 night stay. 10/10 Not that far away from the old quarter, you can walk there if you fancy that. Key takeaways, they dont accept cards payment at the time of visit. Front desk speaks a little English.

We stayed 4 nights then booked again for another 2 nights. That’s how much we feel comfortable staying here. It’s reasonable in every aspects for price offered. Room: has basic amenities, slippers, robes, free coffees, water, teas, water heaters, mini fridge, hairdryers, soap, shampoo. It’s pretty clean and neat. I have no complaints to be honest. Bed is comfy. Aircon works. And they have Netflix...

Amazing stay. Clean room. Staffs were very helpful. One girl helped me organize day trip, she can't speak English but using translate and she even drop me off where bus stop. I really thank you to this lady. Location is bit far from central but That means gives me quite night. I will stay again. Thank you again for your hospitality. This made me I love Vietnam.

There is not much to say. I mean, the young female receptionist once hung up on me when I was trying to confirm my reservation. And that is not the worst because her fulltime-grumpy attitude amazes me to the core. I had no clue why she was always on her phone when I came to the reception. Overall, I'm pleased with my stay for 7 days in Hanoi. The price is hard to beat, and the location is great, close to the center of Hanoi. Like other comments, this hotel is a bit old, but it's clean enough for a comfortable stay. If they could update the furniture and change the color of the curtains to make it brighter and more modern, this hotel would attract even more bookings.
