Challenges:

  • Advance ticket needed: Timed tickets can sell out; book online early or arrive at 8am for same-day slots at the Lodge.

A staple that everyone should visit while in D.C! I’d recommend securing tickets in advance since they’re typically sold out on-site. Even during winter months, the monument is beautiful. It’s bigger than you’d expect but makes a great experience!

Beautiful spot to enjoy the whole view of the National Mall and its surroundings. To go up in the elevator you need to book the 1$ tickets in advance. The views are amazing. They have some shows and festivals around the monument year-round, but specifically during spring and summer.
