The actual hotel is beautiful. The rooms are small with thin walls, but nice. The immediate and surrounding location is rough. Honestly couldn’t be worse from what we saw. It’s in/on the edge of the Tenderloin so the homeless population is dense with a lot of very obvious drug selling and use happening, violence, and generally uncomfortable behavior. This is an excellent hotel. Everything felt modern and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was really nothing to complain about. For what you get and for such a central location in San Francisco, the value for money is outstanding.
