What makes it 63% Baby-Friendly: Wide paved walks and lawn space suit strollers, yet no listed nursing rooms and uncertain changing tables mean caregivers must bring gear and plan breaks carefully.
Why 3–5 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Offers enough time for gentle walks, park stops, and a ferry ride without rushing with a baby.
Stroller-Friendly Waterfront Walks:
Flat, paved paths along Embarcadero, Seaport Village, and Harbor Island Park.
Tip: Bring a sturdy stroller and start at Broadway Pier to cover smooth sections with bay views.
Waterfront Park Splash Fountains:
An interactive fountain area with ankle-deep water for cooling off.
Tip: Visit in mid-morning when fountains are on; pack swim diapers and a towel.
Spanish Landing Park:
Sandy shoreline and grassy areas for safe baby play.
Tip: Pick a shady spot near the benches for a comfortable rest and snack break.
Bayfront Park:
Grassy waterfront park next to Hilton Bayfront with free restrooms.
Tip: Arrive early to secure a shaded picnic table and use nearby restrooms.
Coronado Ferry Ride:
Hourly ferry from Broadway Pier; infants ride free.
Tip: Buy round-trip tickets online to avoid lines and plan around sail times.

Nice views 👍 This port could use more covered areas!! On rainy days you just have to stand out in the rain 👎

12-27-23 Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade Fun family outing. Best way to get there is to take the trolley and get off at County Center or Santa Fe Depot. Go early, bring snacks and drinks to enjoy while waiting. Also, don’t forget sunblock and a hat. Parade starts at 10am. Really fun, enjoy!

yes great place to walk, but now a hassle when they put temporary barricades up for the cruise ships loading process and don't remove them....when will they be removed, especially since we have the holiday weekend coming up?
