What makes it 53% Kids-Friendly: Kids up to 12 can read simple panels and pose in the barrel, but dim lighting, musty smells, and worn figures may bore or scare some children, so parents should plan only a brief, guided visit.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time to explore exhibits, read panels and take photos without tiring younger children.
Meet life-size wax figures:
Walk through themed halls featuring daredevils and local icons in full-scale wax.
Tip: Encourage kids to ask staff for the stories behind each figure.
Barrel photo-op:
Step inside an actual stunt barrel used on the Falls for a memorable family photo.
Tip: Let kids pose while staff help set your phone timer for action shots.
Explore real artifacts:
See genuine daredevil barrels and steel balls up close on display.
Tip: Allow children to touch safe artifacts to feel the textures.
Read educational panels:
Engage kids with simple English captions on local history.
Tip: Turn reading into a game by asking children to spot key facts.

Admission was free when we visited (late October), but I still feel robbed of my time. This place is an odd mix of general US history and Niagara Falls history, with an unusual amount of attention on various individuals who met their demise at the falls. The exhibits are generally in fair condition or worse, the carpeting throughout is worn and stained, and several displays were "closed for mainte...

This was more of a paper mache museum rather than wax. A lot of figures looked like they were falling apart and no one looked like who they were portrayed as. I gave 3 stars just for the very interesting history of Niagara but very disappointed by the presentation of exhibits. It could be great but would have to replace every figure in the museum with updated ones.

Went for the history and the Daredevil exhibit. Wax figures need to be worked on, Princess Diana wax figure doesn't look like her and Abraham Lincoln looked like he was melting and was going to tip over. A few parts was scary to my daughter but we enjoyed the history and the Daredevils. Wished they had video of few of the Daredevil going over the falls. Wanted more info on Marilyn Monroe.

Looks like it could be in better condition.... I don't think anyone walked thru it and cleaned it in the past 10 years... but it was very interesting nonetheless. Especially interesting to any Niagara Falls history buff... they did have many exhibits, but i think they should redo a few because they were obviously very old... dusty, the wax was cracking... etc.

This place was a blast from the past! The attraction was empty when we enter in a Sunday mid day. We had the whole place to ourselves! It was informative and interesting but super super dated. Which was kinda fun, everything looked like it was from 1966! Lots of cool old photos, lots of neat fossils. Tickets were cheap 7.00 US.
This indoor museum offers a cool retreat in summer and warmth in winter. Visit on weekdays to avoid school-trip crowds.
