We had a great time and learned some new things about the War of 1812. For visitors to the park, there are benches for folks who need a break during the walk around the fort. The staff are very friendly and informative. We were there in off season so it was easy to get around without a crowd.

The Haunted tour was so fun. Toby, our guide was full of knowledge and a fantastic story teller. If you love history Old Fort Niagara is the place for you. I suggest experiencing the night and the day tours. Each have their own unique attractions. Either way it's great fun for the whole family.

The place is super good and interesting. They have a guide that can give a walk around explaining the history of the fort but you can walk around freely. In some rooms there is a box with a bottom that when you press it a prerecorded voice explains why everything is the way it is.

What an amazing place. We discovered on our way and was indeed a good decision for a short stop. Nearby they also have a place called “State Park” where you can see CN tower and it’s actually called Toronto Skyline

This past summer my partner and I LOVED visiting the pool at Old Fort Niagara and made it our regular haunt. It is the largest outdoor pool I have ever seen, and is remarkably well maintained. Even with the center lanes reserved for lap swimmers, there is plenty of space for families, couples or solo swimmers to cool off! Located in the heart of the Fort Niagara State Park and next to Lake Ontario...
Summer: swim in the pool after hiking and use the picnic pavilions. Winter: snowshoe or ski groomed trails and end with hot beverages in your car.
