What makes it 74% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly routes and change tables help, but nonstop noise, mist, and lack of private nursing rooms require frequent breaks and extra planning for caregivers of infants.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: This time allows a relaxed walk to the falls, rest breaks at the viewing deck, and evening light shows without rushing with a baby.
Stroller-Friendly Falls Viewpoint:
Walk along the paved Goat Island path to the Bridal Veil Falls viewing deck.
Tip: Start from Goat Island parking; the gentle incline is stroller-friendly.
Prospect Point Observation Tower:
Take the free elevator down to the gorge floor and up to Crow’s Nest deck for close mist views.
Tip: Use the elevator for smooth stroller access and avoid stairs.
Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Welcome Center:
Access family restrooms with changing tables, indoor seating, and water fountains.
Tip: Plan feedings here; it’s a quiet indoor spot.
Falls Illumination & Fireworks:
Watch colored lights and seasonal fireworks over the falls from flat plaza areas.
Tip: Stay after dusk; the plaza is level and easy for strollers.

Goat Island was really beautiful! We parked at parking lot 3 which is free on Tues, Wed and Thurs, its on the south end of the island but just a mile walk to the north end to see the falls. We walked around the island and the rapids on the east side of the island are just amazing to watch. Bridal Veil Falls is stunning especially with the rainbow showing up at the viewing area.
