Beaver Island Golf Course (with kids)

The golf course isn’t in good shape. I had much higher expectations. Staff were nice and helpful. Certainly wouldn’t be my first choice. If I didn’t live on Grand Island, I wouldn’t come out of my way to golf here.

Great value for the money. The course is not in the best of shape but the dry hot summer has a lot to do with it. My first time here and I was surprised at the length. Beautiful beach. Plenty of room to "social distance". No trash cans on the actual beach, had to track down a can in the parking lot. (No white bathing suits or lightly colored- under the water is a dark almost black clay that stains!)

I used to come here as a kid. Much of it is just the same. Some of it has been fixed up and maintained. I see they have a snack bar now and the main building looks cleaned up and useful This still unfortunately suffers from neglect in funding in certain areas. Decent course, nothing fancy. The clubhouse burned down a few years ago and the new one is such a huge improvement. They serve food, beer, and booze. Breakfast till 11 and lunch after that.
