Positives:

  • Stroller-friendly paths: Many paved walkways are wide and smooth for easy stroller use.
  • Baby-changing stations: Most park restrooms have free, ADA-compliant changing tables open 6 AM–1 AM.
  • Shaded areas: Elm-lined paths and lawns offer shade during warm months.

Challenges:

  • Crowded areas: Popular spots like the carousel and Bethesda Terrace get busy midday.
  • Limited nursing rooms: No dedicated private nursing rooms; use restroom stalls or quiet corners.
  • Muddy lawns: Grass areas can be soggy after rain; bring a waterproof blanket.

A serene place amidst bustling NYC. One place to sit relax and find peace. Find the calm against the storm. Surrounded by concrete, this place is definitely surreal. Definitely worth the visit. Take your time, don’t rush. Watch out for scammers like all the other tourists places.

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

Central Park is an absolute must-visit when in New York City. It’s a peaceful escape right in the middle of the bustle, offering something for everyone—beautiful walking paths, lakes, bridges, and open lawns perfect for relaxing or people-watching. The mix of nature and city views is unforgettable, especially near Bow Bridge or Bethesda Terrace. Whether you’re walking, biking, or just sitting with...

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park...

This is my favorite thing about New York City. It’s hard to believe that just a few steps into Central Park and you can transition from being in a massive concrete city to a peaceful forest with lakes and parks. So many things to see here. If you’re short on time and want to explore as much as you can (and don’t mind paying) of this 800 acre beauty would recommend taking a ride with an electric ri...

When is the best time to visit Central Park (New York, United States)?

In spring, see tulips at Conservatory Garden. In summer, start before 10 AM for cooler walks. In fall, enjoy golden leaves along The Mall. After winter rain, stick to paved paths to avoid mud.
